Title: Clinical Psychologist

Position Summary
The role supports a grant-funded initiative to expand pediatric access, improve early identification of developmental and behavioral health needs, and enhance continuity of care through integrated, team-based models. Responsibilities include comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental, emotional, social, or substance-use problems within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The psychologist works collaboratively with primary care, psychiatry, case management, and community partners to deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive, evidence-based care.
Activities may include individual, group, and family therapy; crisis intervention; case management; client advocacy; and psychoeducation. This role serves diverse, underserved, and marginalized populations. The primary clinical focus is on children and adolescents in both school and community settings, but may also include adults and seniors. Services may be provided in various settings and at varied times, including in-office, school or community clinics, drop-in clinics, clinical exam rooms, supportive housing (SH) homes, and during homeless street outreach (encampments, streets, shelters, etc.). The position ensures compliance with current federal and state standards, guidelines, and regulations and will participate in quality improvement initiatives and data collection as needed.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
Conduct comprehensive psychometric and neurodevelopmental evaluations to support diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, mood disorders, and behavioral disorders.
Utilize standardized psychological testing instruments including cognitive, developmental, behavioral, and academic assessments.
Prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports suitable for clinical care planning, educational services, and community referrals.
Provide individual, family, and group therapy, both face-to-face and via telehealth.
Coordinate and collaborate with primary care providers, psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, care coordinators, and case managers.
Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources as needed).
Provide crisis intervention as needed. (de-escalation, involuntary hospitalization authorizations, etc.)
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate in and/or facilitate team meetings.
Work to meet patient needs effectively and resolve individual barriers through follow‐up, advocacy, and collaboration with OBFH staff and other community service providers.
Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization.
Requirements:
Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program.
Active license in the State of Florida
Experience working with medically underserved population.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.
Must have strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
One year experience in a health care setting providing direct care
Knowledge of Integrated Behavioral Health in Community Health (preferred)
Knowledge of Federal, State and County regulations for FQHCs (preferred)
Clean driving record, ability to drive company vehicle(s) as needed.
