The Program Manager oversees the daily administrative and operational functions of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation standards. They act as a liaison between faculty, residents, and medical students while managing recruitment, budgeting, and educational activities.
The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Candidates must have recent relevant experience and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Overview
This position has program administrative responsibility for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Works under the direct supervision of the Department Director of Graduate Medical Education. This position provides day-to-day management and direction of their residency training programs, educational and departmental activities to include administrative support of the Director of the Residency Program, faculty, chief residents and educational coordination between attending physicians, residents, medical students and institutional/regulatory administrative offices. The manager will continually assess, evaluate, and manage a wide range of programmatic responsibilities including long-term planning, resident recruitment, project development, workflow review, database management, faculty and resident communication regarding a variety of topics and issues, as well as internal and external program relations management. This position serves as an educational liaison between the program and attending physicians, residents and medical students, other specialty departments, outside institutions, GME offices and Medical Staff offices and ensures program compliance with accreditation agency standards.
