This hybrid role combines Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator duties to provide direct patient care and administrative support. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, vitals, and feeding, as well as processing admissions, discharges, and ordering tests.
Candidates must hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and meet one of several experience criteria, such as being a registered Nursing Assistant or currently enrolled in a nursing program. Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.

Join our team as a Nursing Station Technician at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital! Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, we deliver a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care. Our compassionate, innovative approach has repeatedly received national recognition. We are proud to be the oldest academic children’s hospital in Minnesota and the longest-running top-ranked children’s hospital in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
The starting base rate of pay for the Nursing Station Technician is $23.40 Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay.
This position will be working 48 hours every two weeks on the DAY variable 8 hour shifts, every other weekend.
About this Role: The NST is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties.
In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, collaboration and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit.
