Lead Food Safety. Drive Excellence. Make an Impact Across Multiple Facilities.
WPSFresh is looking for an experienced Regional Sanitation Manager to lead sanitation strategy and execution across multiple facilities. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands that exceptional sanitation is more than cleaning—it’s about food safety, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and protecting the quality of every product we produce.
If you’re a sanitation or food safety leader who enjoys building strong teams, standardizing processes, solving problems, and making a measurable difference across multiple locations, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As the Regional Sanitation Manager, you’ll serve as the subject matter expert for sanitation and hygienic operations, partnering with Operations, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Maintenance, Engineering, and Human Resources.
You will:
Develop and lead a regional sanitation strategy across multiple facilities.
Standardize sanitation procedures, SSOPs, cleaning methods, schedules, and best practices.
Lead and develop facility sanitation managers, supervisors, and teams.
Ensure facilities remain audit-ready and compliant with FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, local health department, customer, and third-party requirements.
Monitor sanitation effectiveness through inspections, audits, KPIs, and trend analysis.
Support HACCP, Preventive Controls, GMPs, SQF, and environmental monitoring programs.
Lead investigations and corrective actions related to sanitation, food safety, and audit findings.
Identify opportunities to improve sanitation effectiveness, reduce costs, and minimize production downtime.
Evaluate sanitation chemicals, equipment, technologies, and processes.
Develop and deliver sanitation and food safety training programs.
Monitor labor utilization, chemical usage, budgets, and sanitation performance.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Stay current on regulatory and industry trends and implement necessary program changes.
Build a culture of safety, accountability, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Travel approximately 30–60>#/strong### between facilities and work weekends or alternate shifts as needed.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can balance people, process, compliance, and results.
Required
High school diploma or GED.
10+ years of sanitation, food safety, quality assurance, manufacturing, or related experience.
5+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably managing multi-site sanitation operations.
Experience in food manufacturing, beverage production, CPG, or a related industry.
Experience leading regulatory inspections and third-party certification audits.
Strong knowledge of sanitation programs, food safety systems, and regulatory requirements.
Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, FSMA, and Preventive Controls.
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in manufacturing and distribution environments and conduct facility inspections.
Preferred Education & Certifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, Industrial Management, or a related field.
HACCP Certification.
PCQI Certification.
SQF Practitioner Certification.
Lean Six Sigma Certification.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
Why This Role Matters
This position has a regional impact. You won't simply manage a sanitation department—you'll help shape how sanitation is performed across the organization.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Lead multiple locations → Develop high-performing teams → Strengthen food safety → Improve processes → Drive compliance → Reduce costs → Make a measurable operational impact
If you're ready to take ownership of sanitation strategy and help build a culture where food safety and operational excellence go hand in hand, we'd like to meet you.
