Key Responsibilities
Compile, process, and maintain patient’s health information in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the practice in a timely manner. The Electronic Medical Records Technician responsibilities are in accordance with the Health Information Management procedures as it pertains to the Chart Prep team.
EMRT Chart Prep Team:
Prepare electronic charts for appointments.
Promote a culture of caring through interactions with internal and external customers
Sort and prioritize incoming information (faxes, emails, mail, and phone calls)
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and practice regulations.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
