The operator is responsible for identifying and removing unsuitable items from the conveyor belt and sorting them into appropriate bins. Additionally, the role involves performing housekeeping, preventative maintenance, and reporting hazards.
No prior experience is required, but candidates must be physically fit and able to work quickly with their hands. Possession of tickets such as Bobcat (LS), EWP, or an HR licence is considered an advantage.

We are looking for process operators/sorters to join our team. Working out of our Laverton Recycling Facility, you’ll be a key part of our operation in keeping our machines moving.
This is a crucial role for our facility and a great entry-level position to start your career with Alex Fraser. No experience needed!
Monday-Friday
From $30.47 per hour (pending experience/tickets held) + penalties + super
Daily allowance of $33.59
Monthly RDOs
Potential to obtain heavy machinery tickets
All uniform, equipment and PPE provided
An unwavering safety culture
Ongoing training and development, in recycling and other disciplines
Are able to work quickly with your hands
Physically fit, as you will be on your feet
Enjoy solving problems
Have a strong commitment to safety as you’ll need to wear PPE for the shift
