Requires completion of or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program and a current Food Handler Safety Certificate. Candidates must pass a Police Vulnerable Sector Screen and be capable of heavy lifting in a fast-paced environment.

Successful completion of, or is currently enrolled in a recognized Food Service Worker Program
Current Food Handler Safety Certificate
Some experience in food services industry
Ability to lift heavy industrial size food trays, pots and pans
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English. Ability to communicate in Chinese an asset
Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending.
Exposure to all resident care elements through occasional resident contact
Occasional shift work, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
Exposed to noise, high temperature and moisture while working in the dish room and pot washing areas
This is a temporary full time position for 4 months

Raising funds to support the culturally-appropriate senior care at Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care
The Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation is the fundraising, communications and public relations arm of the Yee Hong community. The Foundation raises funds to cover the operational expenses of services and programs of the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care and the capital to build new Centres. Our fundraising efforts include soliciting major donations from philanthropists and corporations, and canvassing support from organizations, small businesses, professionals and individuals in various communities. We also run major events annually to raise funds, including the Dragon Ball black tie gala to celebrate Chinese New Year; the Dragon Raffle; the Yee Hong Telethon; the Yee Hong Earth Walk; and the Yee Hong Golf Classic tournament.
