IMEG is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer in Ontario, California, to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for moderate to complex projects. In this role, you will provide project direction, engineering solutions, and implementation oversight for electrical systems in buildings, while supporting larger and high complexity projects with limited support from senior staff.
You will work closely with engineers and consultants to deliver positive client outcomes through project management, engineering analysis, and design oversight. The role also includes working within project budgets,assistingin training and mentoring efforts, and collaborating across disciplines to support education-focused work, withadditionalexposure to healthcare and public-sector projects, advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

What You'll Do
Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems, using engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations to code and IMEG standards.
Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports.
Partner with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, communicate technical information, and build client relationships.
Review electrical system designs, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence, and implement IMEG quality control processes.
Train, mentor, and motivate staff.
Provide technicalassistancein resolution of field issues with limited support from senior staff.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineeringwork, andidentifyand mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
Participate in project interviews and project presentations.
