The Relief Residential Counsellor plans and implements individualized, goal-centered programs for adults with developmental disabilities to promote independence and quality of life. They are responsible for meeting the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of service users, including medication administration and maintaining accurate documentation.
Candidates must have a two-year post-secondary diploma in a human services field and at least one year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. A valid driver's license, First Aid/CPR certification, and a satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening are required.
