The ECG Technician performs routine 12 Lead Electrocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients while recognizing and reporting abnormal findings. They also support the training of staff and students, maintain equipment, and assist with Holter monitoring and specimen collection.
Candidates must hold a Cardiovascular Technician diploma or equivalent and possess or be eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists. At least one year of recent experience in an ECG lab and advanced arrhythmia interpretation skills are preferred.
