What You’ll Do
At Specsavers, we're passionate about making quality eye care and hearing services accessible to everyone. As we continue to grow across Canada, we're looking for a commercially-minded and influential leader to join us as our Vice President, Retail Performance.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact across our national retail network, helping Partners and store teams unlock sustainable growth, improve profitability, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Working closely with the Stores Director, Heads of Stores, Regional Relationship Managers and Support Office teams, you'll lead initiatives that drive measurable business improvement, particularly within stores requiring focused performance support. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to help create long-term success across the Canadian business.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sustainable commercial growth and profitability across the Canadian store estate.
Lead performance improvement and turnaround programmes within underperforming stores.
Partner with regional and retail leaders to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and accelerate results.
Develop practical tools, frameworks, and best practices that enable stores to achieve stronger commercial outcomes.
Work closely with finance and operational teams to strengthen reporting, governance, and performance management.
Support the delivery of strategic initiatives and business transformation projects.
Champion collaboration across retail and support office functions to improve outcomes for Partners and customers.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability while protecting the customer experience and Specsavers brand.
What We’re Looking For
Significant senior leadership experience within a multi-site retail business.
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in financial planning, forecasting, profitability, and performance improvement.
A demonstrated ability to transform good performance into great performance through disciplined execution and coaching.
Experience leading change and delivering results through influence and collaboration.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust across diverse groups.
Confidence working with senior leaders, business owners, and operational teams.
The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, action-oriented delivery.
Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.
