Provide basic life support and compassionate patient care during interfacility ambulance transportation. Responsibilities include operating emergency vehicles, documenting care in electronic systems, and maintaining medical equipment.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current EMT certification, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license with a good record. Physical ability to lift up to 125 lbs and handle strenuous environments is required.

Key responsibilities
Provide basic life support (BLS) within the EMT scope of practice Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in accordance with state and local regulations Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in a variety of transport and clinical settings Apply EMS protocols and procedures effectively in practical situations Communicate professionally with patients, families and healthcare personnel Document patient care accurately in our electronic charting system Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports Maintain equipment, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and restock supplies Demonstrate ethical conduct and commitment to patient care and safety
Required qualifications
Current EMT certification (state-specific requirements apply) High school diploma or GED Valid driver’s license and good driving record Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical demands
Safely operate EMS vehicles and essential medical equipment Ability to bend, sit, kneel and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull over 50 lbs Maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments Tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance Perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations
