The technician performs maintenance and repair on various electronic systems related to transportation, including radio communication and bus electronic control systems. They also assist in troubleshooting and serve as a technical advisor on electronic systems.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with an associate degree in Electronics Technology or relevant military experience. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of extensive electronic maintenance experience or two years of technical training in electronics technology.
Performs electronic equipment maintenance functions in the following areas:

4) Mobile Access Routers
5) Non-Revenue Vehicle Mobile Radio
6) Bus electronic control systems
7) Bus IVOMS
8) Bus Camera Systems
Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.
Pay Range: $56,500 - $74,000
High school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associates degree in Electronics Technology or related field, or relevant military experience in electronics maintenance is required.
Minimum four (4) years extensive electronic maintenance experience including two-way vehicular radio experience; or a
minimum of two (2) years technical training in electronics technology.
Possession of an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) is preferred. A valid Texas driver’s license is required for the job and must meet METRO’s requirements regarding motor vehicle records. Working knowledge of personal computers and related software. Good communication skills (written and verbal).
