Full job description
The AWS Compliance & Security Assurance team is responsible for scaling AWS's ability to exceed the security and compliance expectations of our regulators, auditors, and customers globally.
We own driving highly complex security and compliance campaigns across AWS. We design and build services that stand up to the scrutiny of external regulators and inspection by AWS's most security-sensitive customers. We are a multidisciplinary team comprised of software engineers, security engineers, technical program managers, data engineers, and compliance specialists. If you are looking for an opportunity to think big, invent, experiment, build, and have a material impact on cloud security and compliance, this is it.
Key job responsibilities As a Software Engineer on our team, you will build and own internal services that identify and monitor security/compliance-relevant attributes of key infrastructure, scale security and compliance assessments of AWS services, and expand our ability to continuously monitor key security functions. You will be part of a growing team that has a high bar for engineering excellence, minimal technical debt, and fairly quiet pagers. You will contribute to solving complex engineering problems as well as business problems. As a team that handles large amounts of data from diverse sources to automate business outcomes, you will interact with our business partners, and learn and flex skills in business intelligence and data handling/processing. Our partners span various role, business functions, and technical ability, providing interesting and impactful opportunities to grow and deliver.
About the team Diverse Experiences Amazon Security values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.

Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
