Description du cours : Initiation aux habiletés de base trans-théoriques, à l’évaluation des besoins des clients (entrevue d’accueil), à la rédaction des notes au dossier, à la confidentialité et au consentement éclairé ainsi qu’à l’utilisation sûre et efficace de soi. Thèmes spécifiques abordés entre autres : définitions du counselling et de la psychothérapie; rôles des psychothérapeutes; motivation de la personne qui consulte; phases de la psychothérapie; empathie, contact visuel, proxémie, paralangage, silence; écoute des messages verbaux et non-verbaux; questions fermées, ouvertes; résumé, paraphrase; reflets d’émotions; efficacité de la psychothérapie; formulation du problème, buts/objectifs; évaluation du risque suicidaire et intervention de crise; gestion des frontières. Comprend 6 heures d’apprentissage théorique et pratique, des exercices cliniques appliqués, ainsi que 1 à 2 heures de pratique clinique (stage) et 2 à 3 heures de supervision par semaine. Noté P/F.
