Community Engagement Manager - Calgary, Alberta
The Manager, Community Engagement is responsible for growing patient referrals, strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, and expanding market presence for Avant Respiratory in Calgary. This role focuses on engaging physicians, nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurses (RNs), respiratory therapists (RTs), medical office assistants (MOAs), and discharge planners to ensure patients receive timely access to pulmonary function testing (PFT), home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), oxygen therapy, and physician consultations.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of respiratory care, sleep apnea, and the healthcare referral process while being skilled in relationship-building, strategic outreach, and community engagement
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Referral Growth & Provider Engagement
Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to increase referrals.
Conduct regular in-person visits, lunch-and-learns, and presentations to educate providers on the benefits of our services and how to refer patients.
Act as the primary liaison between referring providers and clinical teams to ensure seamless service and patient care.
Business Growth & Community Partnerships
Identify and develop strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations, pharmacies, senior living communities, and home care agencies.
Attend and represent the company at local healthcare networking events, conferences, and industry meetings.
Marketing & Brand Awareness
Work with the marketing team to develop referral-focused materials, digital campaigns, and community engagement initiatives tailored for Calgary’s healthcare landscape.
Organize and participate in patient education events and respiratory health workshops.
Leverage data and feedback from healthcare providers to refine marketing strategies and improve referral processes.
Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
Monitor referral trends, provider engagement activity, and patient outcomes to optimize business development strategies.
Provide monthly reports on referral growth, outreach effectiveness, and market insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
Industry Experience: 1+ years in business development, sales, or healthcare services.
Healthcare Knowledge: Understanding of respiratory care and sleep apnea.
Relationship Management: Ability to build trust and long-term partnerships with healthcare providers.
Communication & Presentation Skills: Confident in conducting educational sessions and one-on-one provider meetings.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop targeted outreach plans and drive measurable referral growth.
