The Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, and prototype devices for monitoring transformer health, creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile and Scrum frameworks to deliver customized solutions for utility and industrial customers.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience as a design engineer. Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks or Creo and experience with DFM processes such as injection molding and machining are required.
Your Impact
As a Mechanical Engineer in transformer value stream, you will play a key role in product design of devices to monitor transformer health. You will be designing, developing, creating prototypes, optimizing and testing. This role will interact with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, EE designers, manufacturing test engineers and peers from the global R&D organization. You will design, develop, and create 3D models, detailed mechanical drawings, BOMs, electro-mechanical parts, and gauges. The primary goal will be the design and development of new products and customizations for our Utilities and industrial customers. We use Agile development Methods and the Scrum Framework to deliver critical, customer-facing, solutions.
