Analog Devices is seeking a Principal Analyst in Fab Supply Chain Planning to shape front-end planning strategy, build scalable capabilities, and drive cross-functional execution across our manufacturing network. This role combines deep semiconductor domain expertise, advanced analytical leadership, and data-driven decision-making to improve customer commitments, wafer starts, work-in-process, cycle time, capacity, and service performance in a complex fab environment.
As the Functional Architect for Order Promiser and Enterprise Supply Planner, you will lead the design of fab-focused planning capabilities across ADI’s front-end manufacturing network, translating business priorities into planning logic, system designs, and data science-driven decision frameworks that improve factory performance.
Strategic Transformation & Value Delivery
Lead fab supply chain planning initiatives that improve customer commit performance, forecast accuracy, inventory, capacity utilization, wafer starts, and cycle time.
Standardize fab-planning processes, decision rules, and governance across business units, manufacturing sites, and regions.
Lead fab-focused planning across front-end manufacturing by balancing wafer starts, work-in-process, cycle time, tool loading, and capacity constraints to support business priorities and factory performance.
Functional Architecture Leadership
Define and govern fab planning capabilities that connect demand signals to front-end manufacturing execution, including wafer start planning, capacity scenario modeling, and constraint-based prioritization across internal and external fabs.
Process Design & System Logic
Define planning logic for prioritization, allocation, pegging, capacity modeling, wafer starts, and release strategies.
Develop planning logic for fab-focused supply chain decisions, including start timing, lot release, bottleneck management, and tradeoff analysis between service, cycle time, and factory loading.
Cross-Functional Integration
Ensure strong alignment between planning outputs and execution realities across the manufacturing network.
Change Management & Adoption
Lead change management to support deployment, stakeholder alignment, training, adoption, and post-implementation performance tracking.
Drive sustained behavioral and process change across global teams.
Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Define reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor planning effectiveness, wafer starts, work-in-process health, cycle time, capacity utilization, and constraint risk.
Apply advanced data science methods to fab planning problems, including predictive modeling, scenario analysis, constraint risk detection, and decision-support analytics for wafer starts, cycle time, and capacity optimization.
Talent Development & Leadership
Deep expertise in semiconductor supply chain and manufacturing, including front-end wafer fabrication, back-end interdependencies, and the impact of cycle time, yield, and capacity constraints on supply commitments.
Strong experience in fab-focused planning, including capacity planning, wafer start management, work-in-process orchestration, and constraint-based decision-making.
Extensive experience applying data science, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics in semiconductor fab environments to improve planning quality, cycle time, capacity decisions, and operational performance.
Technical & Systems Expertise
Strong technical background in data science tools and methods relevant to fab analytics, such as statistical analysis, predictive modeling, optimization, and large-scale manufacturing data interpretation.
Education: PhD in Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field is required.
Experience: 12+ years in supply chain, planning systems, analytics, or transformation roles, including significant experience in semiconductor manufacturing and planning environments.
Extensive experience in semiconductor fab environments is required, including direct experience applying data science and advanced analytics to fab planning, wafer start management, capacity planning, work-in-process optimization, or factory planning in complex global operations or process control.
