Full job description
Design learning that helps leaders grow, coaches thrive and organizations change for the better.
As a learning design consultant at Gallup, you'll partner with subject matter experts, researchers and internal stakeholders to transform Gallup's science, behavioral research and expertise into practical, engaging learning experiences. You'll architect learning programs from the ground up, modernize existing offerings and help shape the future of Gallup's leadership, management, coaching and CliftonStrengths® learning portfolios.
This is a role for an experienced learning designer who enjoys solving complex learning challenges, making strategic instructional design decisions and building scalable programs that drive lasting behavior change.
What You'll Do
Design and develop innovative instructor-led, virtual, self-paced and blended learning experiences for leaders, managers, coaches and professionals
Partner with Gallup subject matter experts and stakeholders to translate research, behavioral science and business needs into practical, engaging learning solutions
Build learning architectures, curriculum strategies and learner journeys that support measurable behavior change and business outcomes
Modernize existing learning offerings while creating new programs for emerging audiences and market opportunities
Collaborate with writers, editors, designers and learning technology partners to create facilitator guides, participant materials, presentation decks, activities and supporting resources that enable consistent, high-quality delivery
Determine the most effective way to deliver core learning across facilitated experiences, digital learning, microlearning and emerging technologies to achieve the desired learner and business outcomes
Evaluate learner needs and continuously improve programs based on feedback and performance data
Use AI thoughtfully to accelerate learning design workflows while maintaining Gallup's high standards for quality, clarity and effectiveness
Who We Want
Learning architects who transform ambiguous learning needs into clear program structures, learner journeys and scalable curriculum that changes how people lead, coach, manage and perform
Expert collaborators who confidently partner with subject matter experts, executives and stakeholders to translate complex ideas into exceptional learning experiences
Exceptional communicators who simplify sophisticated research, frameworks and perspectives into practical, engaging learning that resonates with diverse audiences
Strategic thinkers who connect learner needs, business objectives and Gallup's science to create meaningful outcomes
High-judgment owners who hold themselves to exceptional standards, manage multiple priorities, make smart decisions and consistently deliver polished, thoughtful and timely work
Continuous learners who stay current on instructional design, learning technologies and AI to improve the learner experience
What You Need
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, learning sciences, adult education, organizational development, I/O psychology, educational technology, HR management or a related field required; master’s degree preferred
At least five years of experience designing instructor-led, virtual and blended learning solutions for leadership, management or professional development in a corporate environment required
Demonstrated experience partnering with subject matter experts and stakeholders to architect enterprise learning programs from concept through implementation required
Demonstrated expertise in designing facilitator materials, participant resources and learning experiences across multiple delivery modalities required
Proficiency using generative AI to accelerate learning design, curriculum development and content strategy required
A commitment to working on-site at Gallup's Washington, D.C., office at least three days per week required
Eligibility to work in the U.S. required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
What You’ll Experience
Mission-driven work: Make a meaningful difference in the world with your unique contributions, commitment to service and exceptional outcomes.
An empowering culture:Collaborate with smart, passionate people who love what they do and welcome your ideas, perspectives and experiences.
Learning and development: Grow in your career as we invest in what you do best, encourage curiosity and create an environment where it’s safe — and expected — to challenge the status quo.
Brand strength, startup energy: Thrive in an innovative environment backed by a trusted brand.
A vibrant workplace: Enjoy access to exciting public-facing events and our hub for thought leadership in our global headquarters in Washington, D.C. — nestled in the nation’s capital and steps away from the National Mall and other historic landmarks.
