Full job description
Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal Program Manager to drive high-visibility, enterprise-wide Digital Technology (DT) workstreams in support of our client’s strategic corporate restructuring efforts in Washington, D.C. Operating at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, this critical leader will partner with C-suite stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align, de-risk, and implement complex technology portfolio changes. The ideal candidate blends deep operational rigor with executive communication skills, bringing a strong background in large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, corporate asset management, and agile delivery frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business units and DT stakeholders—including Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, and Agility Enablement—to align priorities, coordinate work, and maintain integrated delivery plans.
Integrated Master Scheduling: Build and manage the comprehensive end-to-end master schedule, translating enterprise restructuring priorities into technology delivery tracks while clarifying complex cross-portfolio dependencies.
Execution Governance: Establish and mature operating cadences, governance routines, and transparent reporting mechanisms that ensure predictable execution and consistent delivery across diverse product and project teams.
Risk & Impact Management: Proactively identify and surface cross-portfolio impacts, mitigating technical dependencies and escalating critical blockers or decision needs to executive leadership with clarity and urgency.
Organizational Change & Compliance: Align impacted teams to new processes, communicate technical transitions, and ensure complete operational and regulatory readiness across data, systems, and structures.
Metrics & Accountability: Define, track, and analyze key success metrics to validate program value, providing data-driven recommendations for project pivots and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: 11 to 15+ years of progressive experience managing large-scale, complex enterprise program management and technology transformations.
Systems Expertise: Proven understanding of foundational corporate systems and asset-related business processes, ideally within complex SAP environments spanning Finance, HR, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management.
Scheduling Mastery: Demonstrated background as a master scheduler or deep technical expertise in constructing and tracking multi-layered enterprise program schedules.
Methodology: Strong proficiency in agile methodologies, with hands-on experience utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred.
Technical Toolset: Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically advanced Excel), Jira Software, Confluence, Fig Jam, and Jira Align, alongside comfort leveraging modern AI productivity tools.
Soft Skills: Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between technical delivery teams and business leadership.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent applied senior-level experience.
