ANEW is focused on changing the culture and demographics of industries that have historically not been diverse or inclusive. POSITION TITLE:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering comprehensive workforce development, education, case management, and supportive services to young adults participating in the YouthBuild Program. This position serves as the primary point of contact for participants throughout their program journey, providing career readiness instruction, individualized support, barrier removal services, retention coaching, and employment preparation. The Program Coordinator ensures compliance with program requirements, maintains accurate participant records, tracks outcomes, and collaborates with community partners to facilitate participant success in education, training, employment, and career advancement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Professional Development and Career Readiness Instruction
Lead the Intake & Screening of prospective participants in the YouthBuild pre-apprenticeship training program
Facilitate workforce readiness, professional development, and employability skills training for program participants.
Provide instruction in apprenticeship trades courses in classroom, remote, or online delivery mode using established course outcomes. This includes lecturing and guiding in-class math activities, providing individual conference time to guide and evaluate student progress
Deliver instruction on topics including workplace communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, time management, leadership development, financial literacy, and job search strategies.
Assist participants in developing resumes, cover letters, and professional portfolios.
Conduct mock interviews and provide individualized coaching to prepare participants for employment opportunities.
Support participants in developing educational and career goals aligned with their interests and labor market opportunities.
Promote workplace professionalism, accountability, and positive employment behaviors.
Case Management and Participant Support
Provide comprehensive case management services to assigned participants.
Conduct participant intake, assessments, goal setting, service planning, and progress monitoring.
Develop individualized service plans designed to support participant success and achievement of program goals.
Meet regularly with participants to assess progress and address challenges.
Coordinate referrals to educational, employment, and community resources.
Maintain consistent communication with participants throughout enrollment and post-program follow-up periods.
Document all participant interactions and services provided.
Supportive Services and Barrier Removal
Assess participant needs and identify barriers to education, training, and employment.
Coordinate and administer supportive services including transportation assistance, work clothing, tools, childcare assistance, housing referrals, mental health resources, and emergency support services.
Develop action plans to help participants overcome barriers affecting program participation and employment retention.
Connect participants to community-based organizations and service providers.
Monitor supportive service utilization and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
Advocate for participants and assist them in accessing available community resources.
Employment Retention and Follow-Up Services
Provide retention support to participants who enter employment, apprenticeships, post-secondary education, or advanced training.
Conduct regular follow-up contacts to monitor participant progress and employment stability.
Assist participants with workplace challenges and problem-solving strategies.
Coordinate interventions to improve employment retention and career advancement outcomes.
Maintain relationships with employers and training providers to support successful participant transitions.
Track retention milestones and employment outcomes.
Data Tracking and Performance Management
Maintain accurate participant records in program databases and management information systems.
Enter participant data, case notes, service records, attendance, certifications, and outcome documentation in a timely manner.
Monitor participant progress toward program benchmarks and performance objectives.
Track measurable outcomes including credential attainment, education completion, job placement, retention, and wage progression.
Generate reports and assist with performance reviews, audits, and monitoring visits.
Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with grant and agency requirements.
Program Administration and Compliance
Assist in the day-to-day coordination of YouthBuild program activities.
Maintain participant files and supporting documentation in compliance with federal, state, local, and grant requirements.
Coordinate participant enrollment, orientation, attendance tracking, and program completion activities.
Support recruitment and outreach efforts to identify eligible participants.
Assist with preparing reports, performance summaries, and grant-related documentation.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and program planning sessions.
Help ensure compliance with YouthBuild regulations, funding requirements, and organizational policies.
Partnership and Community Engagement
Build and maintain effective relationships with employers, educational institutions, training providers, and community organizations.
Participate in community events, recruitment activities, and stakeholder meetings.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen participant support systems.
Promote program services and opportunities to youth, families, employers, and community partners.
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Education, Workforce Development, Counseling, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, youth services, case management, education, employment services, or a related field.
Experience working with opportunity youth, justice-involved individuals, or populations facing barriers to employment preferred.
Experience facilitating workshops, training, or classroom instruction preferred.
Familiarity with federally funded workforce programs, YouthBuild, WIOA, or similar programs is highly desirable.
Commitment to DEI values and understanding of equity and social justice principles and how they can be applied internally and in the field.
Flexibility and adaptability in working with a growing non-profit.
Strong communication and administrative skills with a proven track record of managing multiple projects.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work flexible schedule to include evening and or weekend
Must provide documents that verify identity and employment authorization within 3 business days of employment
Valid U.S. Driver’s license, proof of insurability, and a satisfactory MVR is required.- Driving is a requirement of this role.
Work Location: ANEW Tukwila Training Center and Satellite locations as assigned
Work Schedule: 8a-4:30pm Mon-Fri, occasional weekends, evenings, and off-hours may be required.

Compensation
This position is a paid non-exempt position with a starting Pay range of $33.17 – $35.20 per hour. This position is grant funded and continuation of this position is subject to continuation of funding.
Years’ experience has to be directly related to this position.
BENEFITS
The person in this position is expected to serve a 90-day probation period. Benefits will not be included until and unless the position is made permanent, which is contingent upon performance evaluation, funding, board direction, and potential re-development of the organization and its training/service delivery models. If the position is more than 30/hours per week, employer paid medical benefits will include medical, dental, and vision benefits.
A portion of the medical premium is made by the employee through a pre-tax contribution at time of payroll posting. Employees at 30/hours a week or greater qualify for full benefits and pay a pre-tax contribution of 20% of monthly premiums per month for employee coverage. Additional employer paid benefits include basic life insurance, vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay. ANEW also contributes a 4% match to a 401k after one year of employment. ANEW Employees will not be permitted to use paid vacation or sick leave until successful completion of their 90-day probationary period.
