About Euromonitor
Euromonitor International leads the world in data analytics and research into markets, industries, economies and consumers. We provide truly global insight and data on thousands of products and services; we are the first destination for organisations seeking growth. With our guidance, our clients can make bold, strategic decisions with confidence.
Purpose of the role
Euromonitor’s research methodology is built on the principle that high-quality research is best conducted as close to the source as possible. To access accurate local insight across our research markets, we work with Contract In-Country Analysts (ICAs), who form a key part of Euromonitor’s global research operations. Our network of contract-based contributors also provides the flexibility required to support the range and volume of projects delivered by our syndicated and consulting research teams.
The Research Operations team oversees the full lifecycle of ICAs, freelance experts, and vendors at Euromonitor. This includes recruitment, contracting and onboarding, training, project allocation, development, evaluation, compensation, and ongoing pool management.
The ROps Associate Advisor is responsible for the recruitment, staffing, onboarding, and training of freelance ICAs for both syndicated and consulting research teams across Greater China and Australasia. The role focuses primarily on maintaining a healthy and effective regional ICA pool, while also supporting broader research operations activities and process improvements.
Key accountabilities
Recruitment (60%):
Identify and leverage effective sourcing channels in each assigned country, while continuously improving processes for recruiting and onboarding ICAs and vendors.
Support ICA recruitment needs across assigned countries, working closely with the regional ROps team to ensure sufficient coverage and timely hiring.
Screen incoming CVs from applications and referrals, proactively search for potential candidates, evaluate candidates’ potential through appropriate assessments, and accurately track each candidate’s recruitment process.
Maintain applicant tracking systems, recruitment files, and relevant platforms, ensuring they are used efficiently and consistently.
Facilitate onboarding for new ICAs by providing the Welcome Package, coordinating EMI-U account creation, and setting up FMS profiles.
Ensure all required documents are accurate, complete, and stored appropriately before approving ICA profiles, in line with internal policies and applicable data privacy requirements.
Management (25%)
Build understanding of industry best practices in ICA and vendor management and support operational improvements by sharing insights and observations with the team.
Support the management of ICA and vendor resource databases to ensure they reflect research teams’ ongoing needs and resource requests.
Support effective utilization of ICAs and vendors across offices in the region.
Help ensure ICAs are matched effectively to project needs based on their skills and experience, from store audits through to strategic analysis.
Monitor country fees and provide feedback to stakeholders in syndicated and consulting research teams to help ensure fees are appropriate for the calibre of ICAs required.
Training (15%)
Ensure successful candidates receive a clear overview of Euromonitor before starting their roles.
Coordinate periodic remote live training sessions for ICAs.
Support other ICA training initiatives and tools, such as Euromonitor University and training gap analysis.
Gather and analyse feedback from ICAs and Project Managers to improve training curricula for external contributors.
Contribute to the creation and management of training content to strengthen the depth and expertise of the ICA pool.
Role Requirements:
Experience managing or supporting end-to-end recruitment processes in English
Experience supporting project management or operational coordination
Experience working in international settings • Strong Microsoft Office skills
BA/BSc with at least 2 years of experience • Fluent Mandarin and strong English communication skills
