Each employee is expected to use LADD’s mission and The LADD Way to guide their performance. This job description may be modified as organizational needs dictate and changes will be discussed and documented.The daily duties of an activity assistant include planning and leading recreational activities for residents, providing individual support, and ensuring residents are safe and comfortable.

Summary
The Social Guide facilitates community-based activities for small groups of adults with developmental disabilities, emphasizing community inclusion. Helps people receiving services identify and participate in activities that promote increased independence, social skill development, and community inclusion.
Essential Functions:
Transport group to activities throughout the greater Cincinnati area.
Promote socialization, happiness, and fulfillment within a community
Professionally drive and maintain a van.
Plan and implement a variety of activities out in the community that reflect the preferences and interests of individuals served
Assist with collaborative decision-making.
Foster connections, natural supports, and inclusion at a variety of community sites.
Provide direct care, including assistance with eating and toileting as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Track the progress of the goals of individuals served.
Positively represent LADD, the Developmental Disabilities community, and be a good role model to individuals served by maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
Models The LADD Way (TLW) ensures their performance is aligned with TLW and the policies and practices set for the department.
