About the role Based within the City Tree Management team, this position offers an exciting opportunity to step into a frontline team leader role. You will drive the day-to-day operations of a small field team, ensuring works are completed effectively, resources are managed efficiently, and all administrative and digital reporting requirements are met.
In this role you will:
Carry out horticultural & arboriculture activities to ensure the City of Parramatta’s parks are presented to the highest standards.
Make decisions and implement work practices in line with best practices of the Horticulture/Arboriculture/Greenkeeping, trade and industry.
Mentor staff within the team and undertake on-the-job training for the team.
Undertake the day-to-day management of staff and their assigned tasks.
Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed, to assist other teams and operational areas, particularly in wet weather or other emergencies to meet community needs.

We offer a competitive annual salary from $81,327 to $89,563 plus 12% superannuation.
This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Allowance.
