About Finch
We are on a mission to revolutionize employment by building the infrastructure that powers every facet of work. To do this, we're looking for individuals who think about problems holistically and in-depth, who are relentlessly curious, self-starters, and determined to drive ideas from inception through to completion.
Finch is a Series B company backed by a fantastic set of firms, angels, and our developers including General Catalyst, Menlo Ventures, Homebrew, BoxGroup, YCombinator, Charley (1st business hire at Plaid), Sima (ex-Head of Biz Dev at Plaid), Henrique + Pedro (co-CEOs at Brex), Jeff + Wayne (co-CEOs at Digits), Immad (CEO at Mercury), Sam (CEO at Vouch Insurance), Karim (CTO at Ramp), and more.
About Our Team
We're a team of problem solvers who aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions. We value velocity, curiosity, empathy, and diverse perspectives. Everyone on the team is excited about the scope of the problems we address and the potential impact our work can have on the global workforce. We realize that the value we provide comes with great responsibilities, and therefore make security and privacy our highest priorities.
We come from a diverse set of backgrounds and each member brings different skills to the group. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and potential will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns.
About the Role
We're looking for a data-driven Product Analyst to support SLA monitoring and tracking, provider expansion, and automation initiatives. This role owns operational workflows end-to-end with a strong emphasis on metrics, tracking, and identifying where processes are off track. This individual will partner closely with product, integrations, and engineering to move work from manual support toward scalable automation.
\nWhat You'll Do
Operational Analytics & Reporting
Monitor SLAs and operational performance across multiple product workflows, flagging misses or anomalies as they emerge
Investigate root causes behind performance issues and process breakdowns
Build and maintain actionable reporting and dashboards that surface where processes are on or off track
Own operational workflows end-to-end, with clear visibility into status, bottlenecks, and outcomes
Provider & Connection Lifecycle Management
Help drive the full lifecycle of new provider/connection work, including intake, data mapping, cross-team coordination, parallel run support, and handoff toward automation
Act as a key point of coordination across the stages of provider expansion, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with product, integrations, engineering, and operations teams to identify opportunities to move workflows from manual support to scalable automation
Communicate progress, blockers, and risks clearly to stakeholders across functions
Independent Execution
Independently run with ambiguous or evolving problems, owning ongoing processes without heavy oversight
Set a high bar for execution, both in terms of quality and speed
Drive follow-through on initiatives from identification through resolution
What You'll Bring
Data-driven, analytical, and operationally minded, with a track record of using metrics to identify and resolve process issues
Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving processes where the path isn't always fully defined
Strong reporting and analytics skills, with experience building and interpreting operational metrics
Proven experience handling structured data (Excel, CSV, JSON, etc.)
Comfortable working in process-heavy, operational environments with multiple moving parts
Able to independently manage and set clear deadlines across multiple simultaneous projects
Strong written communication skills and ability to clearly document processes so they can be optimized over time
Comfortable coordinating with multiple parties and building relationships both internally and externally
Comfortable working with SQL to locate the right data sources, join tables, and build dashboards you can verify and trust — 1+ years of experience working across multiple datasets preferred.
Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, scripting, or automation
2–4 years of experience in business operations, product operations, business/data analysis, or a related analytical role at a financial, tech, or fintech company.
Success Looks Like
Familiarity working with payroll/HR systems or retirement
Experience in a technical support, product operations, or business analyst role — preferably with an API-based or hyper-process-oriented product
Experience building dashboards and tracking metrics in tools like Sigma
Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses
Comfortable digging through logs (e.g., Datadog) to help investigate operational or technical issues.
What We Offer
Competitive equity with a 10-year exercise window
Full medical, dental, and vision coverage (100% for employees, 85% for dependents)
Unlimited PTO (with a 3-week minimum)
401(k) plan
Regular team offsites and meetups
Hybrid work: 2+ days/week in our SF Office
\n

Meeting those needs requires access to employment data that today sits siloed across payroll, HR, and benefits systems.
Finch is the leading connectivity platform for these employment systems of record, creating a unified foundation for the modern world of work. Our vision is a single source of truth for the employment records of all 160M+ US employees - so every organization, from small businesses to the federal government, has the data it needs to thrive.
Finch is a Series B company with $62 Million+ in total funding and is backed by Menlo Ventures, General Catalyst, QED, Intuit Ventures, and Y Combinator.
