The Certified Utility Arborist is responsible for trimming and removing trees near utility infrastructure using specialized equipment. They also supervise crew members to ensure safe practices and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a Certified Utility Arborist (CUA) certification and a valid Class 5 driver's license with air endorsement. Candidates are also required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and possess current First Aid and CPR certification.

Type: Full-time

Pay: $40 - $45 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and commitment to on-going development.

Work Shifts: Flexible with a minimum of 80 hours per shift.
Travel: Travel required to a marshaling point.
Live Out Allowance: Choose between a living allowance of $70 per day with lodging provided, OR $150 per day in lieu of providing board and lodging.

Key Responsibilities:
Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure
Use industry-standard techniques to safely remove trees without causing damage
Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes
Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment
Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities
Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats
Perform other duties as required
Experience and Knowledge Expectations:
Certified Utility Arborist (CUA).
Valid Class 5 drivers’ license, with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.
