The Wildlife Rehabilitator participates in all daily animal care duties, including rescue, triage, treatment, and release of wildlife. They also maintain facility hygiene, manage volunteers, and promote the BC SPCA philosophy to the public.
Candidates must have at least two years of post-secondary studies in biological sciences or animal health, along with two years of wildlife rehabilitation experience. A valid driver's license and the ability to perform physical labor are also required.

POSITION: Wildlife Rehabilitator
STATUS: Temporary; Full-Time - until September 30th
SHIFT: Various shifts
LOCATION: Wild ARC - Victoria, BC
CLASSIFICATION: CUPE 50
WAGE: Hourly

About the Position:
The Wildlife Rehabilitator will participate in all wildlife care duties and the daily operation of the centre, including rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife, in addition to maintenance of facilities and cleaning. By telephone and in person, the successful candidate will promote the BC SPCA philosophy and mandate with respect to wildlife and animal welfare. You will work in a humane, professional, and responsible manner, and encourage by teaching and example, other staff and volunteers to show the same qualities. You will maintain operations to BC SPCA Wild ARC guidelines in conjunction with IWRC/NWRA minimum standards for wildlife rehabilitation.
