Schedule: Full time, 32 hours, 1st shift, Friday-Monday (7-3p)
Program Summary
Cochegan House is a residential work release program providing case management, job readiness, and substance and mental health education to adult males who are under the supervision of DOC so they can successfully reenter their communities and avoid committing new offenses.
Position Summary
This Residential Aide- will utilize a strengths-based & client-centered approach, providing structure and supervision to justice involved men as they re-enter the community after a period of incarceration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in recovery and/or those who are justice involved or have a client/customer support background and be highly motivated to help others make positive change. An ability to be both structured and compassionate while maintaining professional and respectful boundaries is required.
Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements
High School Diploma / GED and 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent or an Associate's Degree
Valid Driver’s License
Regular and predictable attendance is required
Orientation
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
