The Junior Groundwater Specialist supports hydrogeological and environmental projects by assisting with field programs, data collection, and site monitoring. They also contribute to the development of conceptual site models and the preparation of technical reports under the guidance of senior staff.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and possess one to two years of experience in a hydrogeological-related industry. A valid Class 5 driver's license and eligibility for professional membership are required, along with the ability to meet site access and fitness testing requirements.
The Junior Groundwater Specialist supports the delivery of hydrogeological, groundwater supply, and contaminated sites projects within MEMS’ Water Resource service group. This role assists project teams by applying foundational hydrogeological knowledge, while developing practical skills through field and office-based work. A strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous learning is essential in this role.
The position contributes to project execution by assisting with data collection, organization, and basic interpretation; supporting the development of conceptual site models; and participating in field programs such as groundwater monitoring, groundwater exploration, sampling, and aquifer testing. Working under the guidance of senior staff, the Junior Groundwater Specialist builds technical competency, contributes to team objectives, and supports positive client outcomes, while aligning with MEMS’ core values of Service, Quality, Trust, Innovation, and Teamwork.
