About the role
We are looking for a proactive and forward-thinking Health, Safety, Environment Systems Coordinator to help strengthen and improve the systems that support our HSEQ performance across the business.
Reporting to the Chief Health, Safety & Risk Officer, this role will maintain and continuously improve our Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring alignment with ISO standards, ACC requirements, legislation, and business needs.
You will play a key role in using data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, identify trends, strengthen assurance, and support better risk-based decision-making.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Maintain and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 31000, and ACC requirements.
Manage controlled documents, training packages compliance registers, risk registers, and HSEQ records.
Support internal and external audits, assurance activities, and corrective action management.
Analyse HSEQ data, identify trends and risks, and provide insights to support decision-making.
Develop dashboards, KPIs, and monthly HSEQ performance reports for leadership teams.
Support digital HSEQ systems, data quality improvements, and reporting optimisation.
Use AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve system efficiency and reporting capability.
Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities across HSEQ processes.
Promote practical, consistent, and user-friendly systems that support our people.
Qualifications
About you
You will be a systems-focused HSEQ professional who enjoys improving processes, analysing data, and creating practical solutions.
You will bring:
Relevant qualification or experience in HSEQ, environmental management, quality, business systems, or data analytics.
Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 31000, and ACC Accredited Employer Programme requirements.
Experience managing HSEQ systems, compliance processes, or quality management systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Experience preparing reports and insights for senior stakeholders.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
Experience with digital HSEQ systems (Damstra/Ideagen or Eco Portal experience desirable).
Understanding of AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve business processes and training.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
