The gardener will maintain the village's gardens and outdoor areas according to landscaping plans while ensuring grounds remain clean, tidy, and safe. They will also collaborate with management to plan maintenance tasks and manage budgets effectively.
Candidates should have experience in gardening or landscaping, with a relevant horticultural qualification preferred. The role requires a physically fit individual who is well-organized, reliable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable and experienced Gardener to join our Rototuna village, where you be supporting the Property Manager with the day-to-day maintenance of the village gardens and outdoor areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in helping to create attractive landscapes, and values working in a community-focused environment.
Key responsibilities:
This part-time role offers 20 hours per week, with flexibility to work those hours across Monday to Friday.

Ideally, you’ll bring experience in gardening or landscaping and relevant horticultural qualification—but what matters most to us is your genuine passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces and your warm, respectful approach to people from all walks of life.
You’ll be a team player who can also work independently, managing your time effectively to ensure daily tasks are completed to a high standard. Being well-organised, efficient, and physically fit will help you thrive in this hands-on role and deliver great service to our residents.
