About the job:
We’re looking for an experienced Hydro Operator to join our team in Christchurch!
The role involves:
Safely operating hydro excavation equipment for underground projects
Completing hydro-jetting, cleaning and unblocking work across drainage networks
Successfully delivering excavation and maintenance projects to a high standard
Carrying out routine vehicle, plant and equipment checks
Completing required paperwork and job documentation accurately
Carrying out routine maintenance and care for equipment
Identifying hazards and actively contribute to a safe workplace
What you’ll need:
Class 4 Driver License, Dangerous goods endorsement is highly desirable
Experience operating heavy equipment or machinery
Experience working in wastewater, drainage, civil construction or similar is advantageous
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
Knowledge of PPE and safe operating practices
We need someone who is able and willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster.
You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently.
All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
