Looking for qualified Level 3 and 4 Water Servicepersons with civil or water experience to join our Alliance team, working in Porirua, Wellington or Lower Hutt.
This is Good Work that matters. You’ll help keep water and drainage networks running, respond when things go wrong, and play your part in making sure communities have reliable services with minimal disruption. Whether you’re in Drainage, Water or Roading Reinstatement, no two days are the same. You’ll work across planned and reactive jobs, backed by a team that’s flat, friendly and serious when it counts.
Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities
- Install and repair water and drainage connections across a range of main sizes.
- Flush and charge water mains, complete network repairs, and help keep wastewater and stormwater networks free flowing.
- Clear blockages, respond to leaks and sewage issues, and support prompt repair of critical infrastructure.
- Construct and adjust manholes and pipelines, or reinstate roads, footpaths and berms through concreting and general labouring.
- Work closely with crews, contractors and other teams to deliver safe, practical outcomes for the Wellington region.

- A relevant Level 3 or 4 qualification and civil or water industry experience.
- A reliable, proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck into hands-on outdoor work.
- Confidence using technology such as an iPad or tablet to record job information.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing, with a full clean NZ Class 1 licence; Class 2 is a bonus.
- Flexibility to work on an on-call roster, including shift work and standby, and the ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role.
