Lead the delivery of sustainable Three Waters infrastructure projects across the Waikato region throughout the full project lifecycle. Manage complex stakeholder environments and coordinate design and technical teams to ensure resilient water solutions.
Requires 8+ years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering or construction management, specifically as a consultant or client-side Project Manager. Must hold a STEM qualification and have demonstrable experience with NZS3910/NZS3916 contracts.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in delivering sustainable Three Waters Infrastructure solutions across the Waikato region. As a selected partner on both the Waikato Waters and IAWAI – Flowing Waters panels, we’re helping shape resilient water infrastructure that will support the region for generations to come.
As our project portfolio continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Senior PM to continue to strengthen our position as delivery partner, advising on and supporting the delivery of a range of 3 Waters and infrastructure resilience projects, encompassing all things wai (water) - treatment plants, stormwater reticulation, bulk supply pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, mains renewals and associated networks.

The Role
You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle – from early feasibility through to delivery and handover. While you’ll bring strong project leadership and strategic oversight, you’ll also be comfortable staying close to the detail and pitching in with the day-to-day – whether that’s issuing CI’s, leading meetings or keeping clients well informed through clear reporting.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience delivering projects in complex stakeholder environments, who can confidently lead through all stages of delivery on significant, high-impact work.
Your experience needs to include:
Around 8+ years’ post grad experience in civil engineering, project delivery, or construction management, including some time spent performing in the role of consultant or client-side Project Manager. We need you to understand infrastructure projects, but more importantly we need you to be an experienced PM delivering these projects as our client’s representative.
Relevant qualifications in a STEM discipline such as Civil Engineering, or Construction PM.
A current driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites locally and in the wider region.
You’ll bring a range of project experience with you, which will include civil infrastructure project delivery through all stages, in particular, delivery of 3 Waters assets.
Strong leadership coordinating design and technical teams including management of multiple project stakeholders and management of the project consenting process.
The proven ability to challenge concepts, resolve problems and provide solutions.
Detailed knowledge and the preparation of robust contract documents, correspondence and reporting. Demonstrable experience with NZS3910/NZS3916 contracts acting as Engineer’s Representative.
Strong understanding of relevant New Zealand building regulations and legislation, and a strong focus on health and safety.
