Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator or coordinator to join Pinnacle as a regional workforce coordinator, working closely with the Te Manawa Taki workforce alliance training hub and its regional partners.
You will play a key role in supporting a regionally coordinated workforce development programme, providing high-quality programme and administrative support to help health practitioners access training, workforce development funding and career pathway opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing practitioner expressions of interest (EOIs) for training and funding.
Coordinating access to training opportunities and supporting placement processes.
Administering claims for training-related costs (e.g., travel, fees, backfill).
Preparing agendas, minutes, and maintaining governance documentation
Tracking applications, funding utilisation, and programme activity.
Supporting delivery of workforce development initiatives across multiple partners.
You will also build and maintain strong relationships with PHOs, hauora providers, training providers, and community organisations, ensuring communication is culturally responsive and aligned to kaupapa Māori approaches.
This is a fixed term role until 30 June 2027 working 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE) with the potential for additional hours by agreement.

Previous experience in a coordination, project management or secretarial role.
Experience in the health sector or working with community providers (preferred).
Experience managing applications, claims, or funding processes (desirable).
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Confident using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Comfortable working with data and maintaining tracking systems.
IT savvy and quick to pick up new systems.
Ability to build positive relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.
Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to take initiative.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Able to prioritise and manage multiple workflows independently.
Current full driver’s licence.
