The Instrumentation Technician will test, calibrate, install, and repair control systems and monitoring devices at the treatment plant. They are responsible for maintaining operational functionality, responding to alarms, and ensuring equipment works safely and efficiently.
Candidates must hold a National Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and Control Level 4 or equivalent. In-depth technical knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems in a continuous process environment is required.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation Technician to join our team based at our Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant. This will be an exciting role for someone that wants to prove their strength in instrumentation and problem solving to ensure that our drinking water and wastewater services are effectively supplied to the Auckland community.
Your role will be to ensure that equipment is working properly, safely, and efficiently. Your responsibilities will be to test, calibrate, install, repair and inspect control systems and monitoring devices.
Day to day you will be:

You'll need a proven background in instrumentation. You will also need a National Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and Control Level 4 or equivalent - current Electrical Registration or a minimum Electrical Service Technician (EST) would be an added advantage. You'll be a motivated self-starter with a positive can-do attitude and passionate about Wastewater and Water. You will be able to demonstrate:
