As a Design Lead – Passenger Information Systems, you will:
Develop and coordinate engineering designs for Passenger Information Systems and integrated transit communication systems.
Produce and review system layouts, CAD/BIM models, drawings and technical documentation.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with Project Managers, Product Management, Manufacturing, Installation and Commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Coordinate CAD/BIM design resources and provide technical guidance throughout the design process.
Support installation, testing, commissioning and system handover activities.
Analyse and resolve technical issues while identifying practical engineering solutions.
Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with customer specifications, engineering standards and project requirements.
Manage multiple design deliverables, project priorities and stakeholder expectations.
Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical point of contact throughout project delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, design processes and documentation.

Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
8+ years of progressive experience designing, implementing, testing and commissioning Passenger Information Systems (PIS), transit communications or similar integrated systems.
Experience coordinating engineering design activities for rail, transit or transportation infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of Public Address (PA), Passenger Information Displays (PID), telephony and integrated communication systems.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM design workflows.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a collaborative project environment.
Desirable
Experience with PA acoustic modelling and system design.
Knowledge of CCTV, fire alarm, passenger counting or other intelligent transportation systems.
Experience supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities.
Familiarity with Canadian transit or railway standards.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility is considered an asset.
