The HSE Specialist is responsible for implementing safety initiatives, conducting hazard assessments, and ensuring OSHA compliance across assigned facilities. They will also lead incident investigations, provide safety training, and consult with management to foster a strong safety culture.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental or Safety Management, or a related field, along with at least one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in Federal, State, and ANSI safety standards, as well as strong communication and computer skills, is required.
The position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of safety initiatives to prevent injuries, incidents and protect employee safety, health and Company assets by providing training, coaching, auditing and technical support to the facilities assigned to them.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear, and smell. The employee must be able to work in the plant environments where noise, dust, material handling equipment, and machinery will be present. Employee must be able to climb ladders and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment applicable for the tasks they will be asked to perform.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Employee may be required to travel less than 5% of the time.
