With over 40 years of excellence, we have consistently earned the trust of our clients across North America by exceeding expectations. Your Opportunity
This role is well suited to individuals interested in property appraisal. You will determine the defensible replacement cost of existing buildings for insurance purposes by analyzing, segregating, and pricing individual building components. Your work will answer the question: What would it cost to replace this building today, in its current form, if it were destroyed?
Based in Saskatchewan, the Analyst role offers hands-on experience assessing properties, analyzing building information, and supporting accurate, defensible valuation reports. Whether you are beginning your appraisal career or bring relevant construction or inspection experience, we encourage you to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Site Inspections: Travel to various locations to gather detailed information, measurements, and photographs on buildings, equipment and furnishings.
- Research and Analysis: Assist with conducting thorough research and expert analysis to develop solid, defensible value estimates.
- Report Preparation: Assist in preparing Appraisal Reports (value estimates) and Insurance Appraisals (cost estimates)
- Variety: Alternate between fieldwork (on-site inspections) and office tasks (research, analysis, costing, and report preparation). Gain exposure to multiple sectors, such as Multi-residential, commercial, municipal and educational properties.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with skilled team members to ensure high-quality, defensible reporting.
Travel Opportunities
This role offers variety and exciting travel opportunities, with up to 30-40% travel within your home province and occasional Western Canada and national travel. You’ll have the chance to explore new places and various industries while contributing to our success. You must reside in Saskatchewan and be within close proximity to a major airport.
What We’re Looking For
You’re eager to start or advance your appraisal career with a dynamic, growth-focused organization. You’re proactive, goal-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team. You enjoy building positive relationships with stakeholders and are committed to providing high levels of service and meeting our Brand Promise.
You have a strong attention to detail and can manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. You are proficient with technology and can learn new digital tools and systems quickly. You’re willing to travel regionally and nationally and have a valid driver’s license.
Your Credentials
- Full proficiency in written and oral English (proficiency in additional languages are an asset).
- Completion of post-secondary education;
- Solid construction knowledge is an asset;
- Experience with Field inspections of buildings and improvements for costing purposes; and/or land and facilities inspections related to risk assessment purposes is an asset;
- Understanding of building codes, fire codes and bylaws is an asset;
- Strong digital literacy, including efficient file management, data accuracy, and attention to detail when working with technology;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office;
- Knowledge of building design and ability to read blueprints are assets; and
- A combination of education, knowledge and experience will be considered.
Why You’ll Love Working with Us
Our employees aren’t just numbers. Our President & CEO, Tom Gardiner, genuinely wants to know you – he personally calls every new employee to check-in. You’ll also enjoy:
- On-the-Job Training: Ongoing learning and professional development.
- Performance-Based Rewards: Recognition for your competency-driven performance and achievements.
- Flexible Work Arrangements: Balance your work and personal life.
- Supportive Team Environment: Collaborate with a team that spans all levels of the organization.
