The Driver Examiner is responsible for coaching, educating, and encouraging unsuccessful road test applicants based on the driving skills demonstrated during the road test to increase their chance of success on the next road test and ensure they have a positive experience, even if they were not successful. The Driver Examiner is responsible for completing interviews, delivering Traffic Safety Education presentations, and assessing driver safety when SGI Driver Programs deems necessary. Work is performed at large examination centres, small examination centres, or from mobile units.
