Blackbird Security is seeking to hire Security Officer in Saskatoon, SK (specifically Jansen). This position requires the successful candidate to work on a rotational schedule. Preference will be given to those who have prior to similar experience working within campsite environments or rotational schedules. What’s in for you?

Provide security awareness guidance while promoting a positive security culture for residents and operations.
Ensuring the safety and security of residents, contractor personnel, visitors, facilities and property within the area
Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft by conducting mobile or foot patrols and monitoring surveillance systems.
Documenting and reporting any violations
Intervening to provide support during emergencies, employee assistance, and site policy support.
Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, including security searches of vehicles, rooms, and bags.
Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly, including escalating to appropriate channels
Manage and maintain areas when incidents occur to ensure preservation of evidence and integrity of investigations.
Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required
Use and maintain any equipment that you may utilize while performing your duties
Providing support as required when security issues arise and when requested.

Vos responsabilités
Sensibiliser les résidents et le personnel aux enjeux de sécurité tout en favorisant une culture de sécurité positive.
Assurer la sécurité des résidents, des entrepreneurs, des visiteurs, des installations et des biens sur le site.
Maintenir une présence sécuritaire afin de prévenir les actes criminels et les vols en effectuant des patrouilles à pied ou en véhicule et en surveillant les systèmes de vidéosurveillance.
Documenter et signaler toute violation ou tout incident.
Intervenir et apporter du soutien en cas d’urgence, notamment pour aider les employés et assurer le respect des politiques du site.
Effectuer des rondes de surveillance, contrôler les accès et intervenir de manière appropriée et rapide lors de situations d’urgence.
Effectuer les tâches de sécurité avec le plus haut niveau de professionnalisme et d’intégrité, notamment les fouilles de véhicules, de chambres et de sacs.
Rédiger les rapports d’incident et toute documentation requise pour les incidents de sécurité.
Identifier les risques potentiels liés à la sécurité et prendre les mesures appropriées, notamment en les signalant aux instances concernées.
Sécuriser et maintenir les lieux lors d’incidents afin de préserver les éléments de preuve et l’intégrité des enquêtes.
Répondre aux situations d’urgence et communiquer avec les services policiers, au besoin.
Utiliser et entretenir adéquatement l’équipement requis dans le cadre des fonctions.
Fournir du soutien lorsque des problèmes de sécurité surviennent ou lorsque cela est demandé.
Effectuer de fréquentes patrouilles à pied.
Profil recherché
Permis d’agent(e) de sécurité valide.
Permis de conduire valide.
Formation en premiers soins et en RCR : un atout.
Expérience de travail en camp : un atout.
Expérience préalable en sécurité dans une mine ou sur un site de travail éloigné : fortement privilégiée.
Excellentes aptitudes en communication, notamment par radio et téléphone, ainsi qu’à l’oral et à l’écrit en anglais.
Respect strict de la politique relative aux drogues et à l’alcool.
Capacité à travailler dans toutes les conditions météorologiques.
