Principal Product Manager, Admin & Clinical Workflows
Company Description
At Butterfly Network, we're leading a digital revolution in medical imaging, transforming an industry that has long relied on bulky, analog systems. With our proprietary Ultrasound-on-Chip™ technology, we're democratizing healthcare by shifting ultrasound from the expensive, stationary systems of the past to the connected, mobile, and software-enabled platforms of today. In 2018, we launched the world's first handheld, whole-body ultrasound, Butterfly iQ – followed by iQ+ in 2020 and iQ3 in 2024, each more powerful than the last.
Our innovation doesn't stop at hardware. Butterfly combines our advanced device with intelligent software, AI, services, and education to drive adoption of affordable, accessible imaging. Our technology is helping clinicians, clinics, and hospitals enhance care, cut costs, and expand imaging access. We've been recognized by Prix Galien USA, Fierce 50, TIME's Best Inventions, Fast Company's World Changing Ideas, among other awards.
We're a team of bold thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators ready to shape the future of medical imaging. Let's build something extraordinary together!
Job Description
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Principal Product Manager who will own the cloud-based experience layer of the Butterfly platform, spanning administrator workflows, clinical workflows, and education products. You will drive strategy and execution across these areas to deliver a best-in-class experience for health system administrators, program managers, and clinicians using Butterfly's cloud platform. This role reports to the head of POCUS Product group and works closely with the Core Platform and Clinical Experience Product Managers, clinical stakeholders, and engineering teams to define requirements, ship features, and continuously improve the cloud experience. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, user-obsessed Principal Product Manager to own the admin and clinical workflow layer of the Butterfly platform. This role will shape how health systems deploy, manage, measure, and scale programs through modern, intuitive software experiences across administration, documentation, quality assurance, analytics, education, and workflow automation. This PM will work at the intersection of enterprise SaaS, clinical workflow, AI-enabled automation, and product experience design. You will translate complex health system needs into simple, elegant, high-impact products that help administrators, program leaders, and clinicians use Butterfly more effectively. You will partner closely with Core Platform, Clinical Experience, Design, Engineering, Clinical Affairs, Customer Success, and Commercial teams to define strategy, ship products, and drive adoption across enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for administrator experience and clinical workflows on the Butterfly cloud platform.
Drive product development for administrator-facing features like Proficiency Management, Analytics, Program Performance, User Management and Access Roles, Fleet Management, Butterfly Academy & Education Dashboard — ensuring health system administrators have a seamless, efficient experience managing their POCUS programs.
Lead cloud-based clinical workflow products such as Documentation (Worksheets, Tags, Exam Types), and Quality Assurance tools — translating clinician needs into intuitive, simple, reliable tools that fit into existing care delivery workflows.
Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and agentic workflows to reduce manual work, improve documentation quality, surface insights, and help administrators and clinicians complete complex tasks more efficiently.
Collaborate with the Core Platform Product Manager on monthly cloud release documentation, feature enablement, and entitlement management while ensuring the end-user workflow remains coherent and easy to use.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, clinical affairs, and customer success to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones.
Integrate customer feedback, research, and data analysis into product decisions and roadmap prioritization.
Develop deep expertise in health system administrator and clinician workflows to identify unmet needs and translate them into compelling product solutions.
Support pre- and post-launch execution including go-to-market coordination, documentation, and adoption tracking.
Set a high bar for product craft, usability, and workflow simplicity in a domain that is often burdened by legacy healthcare software.
Qualifications
5–8+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, digital health, or enterprise software.
Demonstrated experience owning cloud or web application products, with a track record of shipping elegant UX for enterprise end users.
Strong understanding of administrator and/or clinical workflow needs in healthcare settings is a plus but not required; POCUS or medical imaging experience is a plus.
Experience owning full product lifecycles from discovery and requirements through launch and iteration.
Experience with AI-enabled workflows, agents, automation, or intelligent recommendations.
Strong product craft and collaboration skills, with experience working deeply with design, engineering, research, data, and go-to-market teams.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; comfortable using data to drive decisions.
Skilled communicator with experience presenting to senior executive audiences.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity, challenging legacy assumptions, and bringing a modern product mindset to healthcare workflows.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
