Responsibilities
The painter performs painting and maintenance tasks to prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins and ensures property grounds and common areas are in top condition. The role also involves responding to service requests and performing routine upkeep while adhering to safety procedures.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least one year of general maintenance experience and six months of painting experience. Strong communication skills, the ability to work on-call, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software are required.
Start Your Career in Property Management At CAF Management, The Painter performs painting on vacant apartments, technical, and mechanical work to ensure all buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the property are in top condition.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a punch list of maintenance work needed.
Assist in make-ready process by painting vacant units and making drywall repairs, patching holes, and sanding when needed.
Respond to resident/management service requests for occupied and vacant rental units as well as routine upkeep on the property.
Perform tasks and operate machinery in a safe manner and in compliance with safety procedures.
Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
Work on-call as scheduled 24/7, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary and pre-approved by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Performs other duties as requested to support property operations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel software. Experience in conducting Internet searches and using online calendars and databases.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Required
Minimum one year general maintenance experience.
Minimum six months’ painting experience.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work on-call as scheduled and work weekends and after hours as necessary.
Preferred
High school diploma or GED.
