The Service Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of refuse equipment, including both stationary and mobile machinery. They will work closely with dispatchers to provide high-quality service to customers at job sites or in the shop.
Candidates should have journeyman-level mechanical experience and proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics. A CDL Class A or B certification and experience with welding processes are strongly preferred.
Description
The Service Technician is responsible for system and component installations, repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and retrofits to customers’ equipment or machinery. In this position, you will serve our customers directly on location or in the shop. They will work with our Internal Service Dispatchers and Coordinators to give the customers the best experience possible. It is important that this person has the ability to learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to this position. As SWS is a refuse company, the candidate must be prepared to work on refuse equipment, including stationary equipment like balers and compactors and mobile equipment such as trash trucks, septic trucks, street sweepers, and other related machinery. On the job training as well as formal professional week-long training courses; work under supervision of lead technician.
