The Tea Room Attendant is responsible for monitoring tea delivery systems, managing hopper levels, and operating shredding machinery according to production schedules. They also perform inventory management, document material usage, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling and the ability to lift up to 50-100 lbs. Proficiency in computer-related inventory equipment and the ability to obtain forklift certification are required.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
One-year previous experience in shipping, receiving or material handling operations or equivalent. P.C. Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively relate necessary information to applicable personnel. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all common units of measure and common measuring tools.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several standardized situations.

Work environment may be dusty, hot, air conditioned and/or smell of various tea aromas. The employee must be able to wear, P.P.E., a dust mask respirator to protect him/her from excessive tea dust. The employee must also be comfortable wearing various types of safety equipment such as hearing protection, eye protection, coveralls, gloves, etc. as necessary and indicated by R.C. Bigelow’s Safety Rules and those of OSHA.
