The Building Engineer is responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and utility systems within commercial real estate properties. This includes performing preventive maintenance, responding to work orders, and ensuring operational standards are met.
Candidates need an associate degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver's license, and a refrigerant certification. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines, along with a Journeyman's level license or equivalent, is required.

The Building Engineer is responsible for providing assistance and support in the repair, maintenance, and installation of mechanical equipment, machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of commercial real estate establishments.
The base hourly rate is aligned with market data and is estimated between $30.00 to $38.00 an (hour) with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to move freely throughout the property, including moving up and down stairs.
The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. Must be able to move throughout the property, including up and down ladders and stairwells. May occasionally be exposed to machine noise and inclement weather conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
