The Senior Resident Engineer will lead construction observation, reporting, and financial management for FDOT transportation projects. They are responsible for supervising field staff, coordinating with client program managers, and managing contract changes.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and possess at least fifteen years of relevant experience in design and construction administration. A Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required for this role.
We are seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to join our team in Tallahassee or Chipley, FL.
This role will be responsible for working on FDOT Transportation projecs such as Roads and Bridges.
Plans, organizes and directs the administration and coordination of construction observation and reporting activities.
Provides financial management of construction office operations, monitoring costs and expenses, approving and dispersing funds, and coordinating accounting and cost allocation.
Leads subordinate internal staff involved in the observation, testing and sampling of construction materials, observation of construction work, and documentation of plan revisions and work progress.
Is responsible for reporting cost and quality control activities.
Meets and coordinates ongoing construction monitoring with client program manager.
Prepares and coordinates contract changes and supplemental agreements with client.
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Must have experience working on FDOT projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Fifteen years of experience with Bachelor's degree combining engineering design and construction observation administration, and including management and supervision of field and office personnel.
PE certification is required.
