Description
Ready for experience that moves your engineering career forward?
You're an engineering or sustainability-focused student seeking an Optimization Engineering Co-Op opportunity where you can contribute to meaningful projects focused on energy efficiency and building performance.
You’re interested in how buildings actually operate and how data, systems, and analysis come together to improve energy use, comfort, and sustainability. From energy assessments and commissioning to retro-commissioning and performance optimization, you’re eager to learn how thoughtful engineering delivers real impact.
You enjoy problem-solving and learning through hands-on experience, whether that’s analyzing data, supporting fieldwork, documenting findings, or assisting project teams as they evaluate and improve building systems.
You're organized, detail-oriented, and curious someone who asks good questions, seeks feedback, and enjoys collaborating with engineers, designers, and professionals across disciplines.
You're not just completing a Co-Op, you're looking for hands on experience, professional growth, and a strong foundation for a career in energy, optimization, or sustainable building design.
At HEAPY, Optimization Engineering Co‑Ops are active contributors to the team. You’ll gain exposure to real-world energy and sustainability projects, develop both technical and professional skills, and learn how engineering decisions improve building performance and environmental outcomes.
