We are seeking an accomplished Senior Manager, Tenders to lead strategic tendering and commercial negotiations for utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage system projects. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced renewable-energy professional who can turn complex technical and commercial requirements into competitive procurement strategies, well-structured contracts, and sound award recommendations.
Working within our Preconstruction and Tenders group, you will collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Development, Safety, and other key stakeholders. You will also build productive relationships with leading EPC contractors and help guide critical procurement decisions across our project pipeline
What you’ll do
Lead end-to-end tendering activities for EPC contracts and, where applicable, O&M service contracts.
Prepare, issue, and manage comprehensive RFP packages for EPC services.
Review and normalize bids, evaluate commercial and technical differences, and develop clear award recommendations.
Interview and evaluate bidders in partnership with project stakeholders.
Lead complex supplier negotiations and negotiate and execute LNTP agreements, EPC agreements, consulting agreements, service contracts, and supporting exhibits.
Confirm that contracts satisfy applicable commercial and technical requirements.
Conduct appropriate diligence and supplier prequalification.
Market the project pipeline to EPC contractors and strengthen relationships with key vendors.
Coordinate regular vendor engagement at conferences and in other business settings.
Advise project teams on schedule implications, including when equipment must be delivered and services performed to achieve key milestones.
Build strong relationships across Development, Project Management, Engineering, Safety, and other functions.
Mentor, support, and guide junior team members
What you’ll bring
A relevant college degree, preferably in engineering, supply chain, construction management, business management, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience negotiating and executing EPC contracts for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects.
Experience in the utility-scale renewable-energy industry.
A successful record of leading complex supplier and contract negotiations.
Experience working effectively in multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams.
Strong commercial judgment and the ability to evaluate technical, financial, contractual, schedule, and execution risks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; SAP experience is preferred.
Business-fluent English.
Willingness to travel up to 30%
What will help you succeed
You are a strategic and analytical thinker who can find practical solutions to difficult business challenges. You combine strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen with careful attention to contractual detail and risk. You communicate clearly, build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups, manage competing priorities, and translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
