The Fitter/Welder is responsible for laying out and welding structural steel components using jigs and MIG welding processes. They must maintain welding equipment and adhere to all safety protocols while building utility structure products.
Candidates need at least one year of welding experience or completed weld training, with a preference for flux or metal core welding skills. Ability to read blueprints and accurately measure tolerances is highly preferred.

As a Fitter/Welder at Meyer Utility Structures, you’ll use jigs/holding fixtures to lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders. You’ll then set up, operate, and maintain the welding equipment. Through the MIG welding process, you are responsible for welding together structural steel and other metals to build utility structure products while implementing safety protocols and procedures.
